If you,ve read my Facebook fanpage strategy post you would understand that the secret to business building success on Facebook is to keep your viewers on Facebook. Don’t try to sell direct from Facebook. It’s a social network. People are there to chat, catch up with friends and exchange information. Your goal with Facebook is to use it as a lead generation point.
With this in mind how do you generate business leads and make sales using Facebook ? The answer is simple embed your list building opt in forms on your facebook business, product and fanpages. To do this you need to add Facebook’s Static FBML to your business page. Static FBML allows you to add website content, including graphics and links via standard HTML/
Watch the video or simply follow the steps outlined below to embed your opt in form into your Facebook business page.
- Starting on your Facebook homepage, scroll down and click on “ads & pages” in the rright hand column
- Once at your page scroll to the bottom of the page and under “More Applications” select “Static FBML.”
- Click “Add to my Page” to apply Static FBML and create custom tabs.
- Now return to the the “Edit Page” section, scroll down to the new application titled “FBML” and click “Edit.”
- The FBML application gives you two options. The default is to create a box. This is what you want.
- Now go to your autoresponder system and copy your opt in form. Make sure you copy the html not the shorter source code option.
- Return to your Facebook FBML and simply paste your autoresponder opt in form html into the FBML box.
- Congratulations you have just embedded your opt in form into your Facebook business page.

Always one step ahead of the Game. Facebook is where the marketers are all moving. I really need to learn how to get traffic on facebook. I’ll keep watching for the next video.

This went a long way to understanding the process
I’m still behind however as I need to go back & learn how to
1. establish the image and store it on FB
2. open an AWeber account and
3. create the web form.
It’s like peeling an onion backwards !
