Funded Proposal

Lately I have had a few people ask me what funded proposals are and how they work, so for those of you that asked here is the answer.

A funded proposal is a term used to describe the process of making money from other offers while building your primary business. The funded proposal is the number one business financing strategy of top MLM and network marketers and is designed to capture highly targeted and motivated business leads and generate income.

If your wondering why top marketers use the funded proposal and try to selll other products and services before presenting their primary business opportunity the answer is because statistics show that 97% of people who look at your primary business opportunity will say no. With such low MLM opportunity take up rates it is extremely difficult to build a successful business without raising funds for marketing and advertising elsewhere. Enter the funded proposal.

In MLM the funded proposal strategy is to seek out and attract people struggling with their network marketing businesses and to offer them training, assistance, advice and information to assist them solve their problems.  To do this you need three basic tools.

Funded Proposal Tool 1: A capture page and a free or low cost offer. For example this could be a $5 ebook or an invitation to a free webinar. It can be anything of value to your prospect that you can exchange in return for their email address. Once a person completes the opt in form they are now part of your sales list and have entered what marketers call your sales funnel. you have just converted a person into a lead for your MLM business.

The second tool is an autoresponder system.  This allows you to now keep in regular communication with your prospect through an automated email campaign. The MLM marketer puts together a series of email messages which warm people to affilate products and services which the prospect will need to market their MLM opportunity. There are hundreds of different affiliate programs that you can sign up for to offer to your leads. The secret is to choose products that you personally use and can personally endorse. For example one of my favourite affiliate offers is marketing automation software. I use this effectively because people are always looking for ways to do things faster and smarter.

Having an autoresponder system also allows you to post broadcast messages to your email list. I personally use broadcast messages to invite people to my MLM company marketing training sessions and opportunity presentations. By offering value and quality resources it is easy to quickly develop rapport with your email list and before long these people start to trust your judgement and begin to buy your affiliate products and services. This is turn gives you the money to invest in paid advertising which generates new business leads much faster than free advertising.

The third key tool is your primary business opportunity. Understand that people dont join MLM companies they join MLM leaders, people they believe can help them achieve business success. The funded proposal positions you as a leader and makes you an attractive proposition as a business partner.

The power of the funded proposal concept is that as people move through your funded proposal sales funnel three things are happening. First and most importantly you are making money from the 97% of people who are going to say no to your primary business giving you the finances to market more aggressively.  Second you are developing a personal relationship and building trust with your prospective business partners through your email messages.

Third through the training and marketingtools you are offering you are priming your potentail business partners with the marketing skills and resources to achieve success in MLM network marketing. This is the most powerful aspect of the funded proposal concept because the two or three people out of every 100 that decide to join your business are going to be ready to take on a leadership role of their own as a member of your MLM downline. This is what explodes your business.
